Remnants of Christmas

I took down the tree yesterday because frankly it's been a huge mess! It died two days after we got it so it's been dropping needles for weeks. When I took the tree out I could not believe the mess! There was a huge trial of needles all the way out to the door. I think I filled up half of the bag on the vacuum cleaning it all up! I love having a real tree but next year we may have to reevaluate real vs. fake.

Dear Santa

Carson wrote his first letter to Santa this year. For those who have a hard time reading it I'll translate. The letter says "Dear Santa-Optimas Prime" with a picture of an Optimas Prime toy he say at the store this week. So in other words he wants an Optimas Prime toy for Christmas. We'll have to see what happens in a few days.

Superman Cake

the latest cake was for my nephew's 3rd birthday.

O Christmas Tree

The dangers of decorating the tree. Carson stepped on an ornament and cut his foot. He wasn't too upset...as you can see.
Carson's side of the tree
The first year Alaina put decorations on the tree. This year she understands that Christmas means presents. It's so fun when the kids start to understand what Christmas is and join in the festivities.

Art?

Alaina decorated my hand and proceeded to say "pretty" after she was done. What do you think? Is she destined to be an artist?

Happy Birthday

Halloween

Halloween was very eventful this year with it being Carson's Birthday, BSU playing, and it being Saturday too. Carson dressed up as Optimus Prime from Transformers, Alaina was a fairy thanks to both Grandmas. They got to go Trick or Treating with their cousins and both got a ton of candy. From here until New Years Eve the treats will be a constant friend at our house, and so will the 5 pounds that come with them.

My First Customer Cake

Well here it is. I'm so nervous about it! I sure hope my customer is happy with it!

Preschool Field Trip

Carson's preschool group went to Linder Farms yesterday. They got to look at some ponies, go through a straw bail maze, go on a hay ride, and pick out a pumpkin. Even though it was windy and cold the kids seemed to have a good time.

Grandpa Foster's Birthday Cake

Here is my latest cake. It's for Tony's Dad.

Holy Carrots!

Since our garden got killed by the recent cold weather I cleaned it out and dug up all our carrots. Wow! There sure were a lot of them. I even found two that had grown around each other. I'm sure I could use these two carrots as some sort of metaphor, but for your sake I won't.

Hannah's Birthday Cake

So I'm going to start doing special occasions cakes from home to earn some extra money. This one I did for my little sister's 18th birthday. I think it turned out pretty good. Since I'm just starting out and still perfecting my skill I'm trying to give people a good deal. This cake would feed about 25 people and cost around $35. Let me know what you think!

Now where did those kids go?

I think my kids are a little young to be hiding from doing chores. But alas, I found them hiding under Carson's bed.

Zzzzzzzzzz

I guess Alaina decided that is was more comfortable to take her nap on the floor than in her bed. Who knew?

New Cloths for Carson

Today we bought cloths for Carson. He was wearing toddler sizes so we went to the boys sizes and completely skipped to size 5 pants and medium shirts! He is growing so fast. I must point out the shirt he is wearing. He made sure that he wore his "bumblebee" shirt as soon as he got home. The great thing about working a JCPenny's is that I got 6 shirts, 5 pants, and socks for around $60! I mush say that working there has it's advantages! I must confess that I got the socks at Walmart, but everything else was from JCPenny's.
