Birthdays

Today I was thinking about how birthdays change over the years. As a kid you count down the months, days, hours, and minutes to your next birthday. But as an adult you have to remind yourself how old your going to be. It's not that you don't know or keep track, it's just not as important. There have even come times that someone has asked me how old I was, I actually have had to stop and say How old am I? Well tomorrow I'm going to be 26. I really can't say I'll feel different, I never do.

Oh!

Well, my life is back to "normal" today. Impatient, irritated, upset Angie. Grrr! Oh well, tomorrow is another day, right? And not only that it's almost the weekend, Tony's birthday is on Monday and mine is on Tuesday! So I have a lot to look forward to.

A Good Day!

Last night as I was getting ready for bed, and started saying my prayers. I started with the usual thank-you for my home, family, jobs, etc. After this part I usually apologized for the horrible things I did and/or said to my family and promise to do better, but for the first time ever I realized that I had had a good day! I was able to get my bed made, the laundry done (that I had been working on for 3 days), most of the dishes done, the kitchen floor mopped, I actually played with my kids, they both took naps (this was a miracle in and of it's self), I took some time for myself and colored my hair while studying my scriptures (I was multitasking) and even got to go cruising in the newly registered Camaro with Tony and the kids. I couldn't believe it! I had actually accomplished what I've been striving to do since the day that Tony and I were married, over 6 years ago! I'm not trying to make it sound like it was a perfect day or anything, but it was dog gone close (for me anyway)! Of course when I came to this realisation I thanked my Heavenly Father for helping me without me even knowing it. So this post isn't to boast in my own accomplishment, but I wanted to share that I had a good day! With Heavenly Father's help of course!

Cutie Pie

The other night I gave Alaina an ice cream cone which she enjoyed thoroughly. I not sure if you can tell by this picture she's got ice cream all over her chin and shirt. I thought it was cute anyway.

Carson's Legos

As an incentive to get Carson to walk on his injured leg again, we promised to get him some legos when he was walking "normally" again. Well he's almost 100% so we took him to Toys R Us and let him pick out a lego set he liked. He chose a Star Wars space ship with (as modled here) a Darth Vader. He likes flying it around the house, but we're getting tired of fixing the thing every 5 minutes. Oh well, you win a little, you loose a little.

Piano House

As a kid my mom would help us make a house out of the piano, chairs, blankets, etc. This is our version. Carson has a lot of fun building the piano house.

Sneaking Out

Remember when you were a kid and it was the dreaded "time for bed" and of coarse everyone else where watching a cool new movie that you wanted to stay up and watch? But mean old Mom and Dad made you go to bed anyway. Little to their knowledge you would sneak out of bed to watch the rest of the movie, then get back in bed before anyone knew you were ever out of bed. Well, Carson fell asleep before he was able to accomplish the latter end of this plan.

A little Climber

I find Alaina everwhere now a days. She loves pushing around the kitchen chairs and climbing up on them to get to things that are out of reach. Here she is finishing off Carson's lunch.

Finally

We finally have internet access again, and it's wonderful! I'm so excited to be able to post all the pictures I want to without having to wait hours for them to load. I never realized that we were living in the internet dark ages. But no more... I've seen the Light!

Internet Withdrawls

We are in the process of switching over our home phone to a cell phone and getting DSL instead of dial up. So we haven't had any internet access for a week now. You never realize how much you use something until you don't have it anymore. Hopefully our internet access will be up soon.
