Camera for Sale
I'm selling our old camera. Let me know if you or anyone you know is interested. Here is a link to my craigslist add. http://eastidaho.craigslist.org/ele/2929946053.html
A New Camera
Tony and I were blessed with a good sized tax refund this year. After paying off the truck and credit card we bought some toys. A digital camera was one of them! I've had a film SLR camera for about 6 years, but it was just such a pain to deal with the film and developing and such, plus expensive! We got a Cannon T1i DSLR camera. It's been so much fun and I just love it!
Here are some pictures of the kids that I took as I was playing around with the camera.
Charlie and yes his shirt is soaked with drool.
Carson being a silly kid.
Alaina, crazy hair and all!
Chinese Checkers Anyone?
Alaina swallowed this game piece that goes to Chinese Checkers last night. This has been our first experience with a child swallowing something non-food related. I have to be honest I wasn't quite sure what to do. She chocked on it at first but before I could get it out of her throat she swallowed it. This was accompanied by a hysterical crying girl. She was breathing and it wasn't lodged in her throat. But I still wasn't sure if I should do more than just wait for the game piece to come out the other end in a few days. I called Tony to see what I should do. He said as long as she's breathing she'll be fine. So after a few minutes and some ice cream she calmed down. Alaina has a really bad habit of putting things in her mouth. Hopefully this event will cure her of that.

Boy's Room
I finally got the boys room done! It took a lot of hours and some ingenuity but I was able to get it all done under $200. Which is pretty good for a room for 2 kids. I did an outdoor theme. I used a wildlife calendar for the wall art. Mossy oak camo fabric from Joann's that I got at a discount and tan sheets from Walmart.
wall art
more
and more
and the rest. I originally wasn't going to put up all the pictures, but I couldn't choose so up they all went.
The final product. This summer I want to get branches for curtain rods over the windows. But these will work for now.
Playtime
Charlie's favorite thing is to dump out all hit toys and then play with the. It's not nearly as fun it mommy gets the toys out for him.

Bottle Baby
A little over a week ago Charlie got sick. He had a fever, cough, congestion, and was a very unhappy baby. I at first though maybe he was working on some more teeth, but none showed up. I took him to the doctor to see if he had an ear infection, but none was found. Through the 3 or 4 days of very cranky baby he didn't want to nurse at all and has since lost interest in nursing all together. This hurt me physically and emotionally. I won't go into the details of physically, but emotionally I'm sad because I'll miss that connection with my baby and being able to feed him whenever, wherever. But I'm also glad to be done nursing because I no longer have to deal with being sore and being bit by a baby with teeth! Also my Sunday wardrobe has now doubled because I can wear dresses once again! Unfortunately I have not been able to make it a full year of nursing with any of my babies. Carson was 5 months when I quit because I got a breast infection called Mastitis, that was extremely painful. Alaina was 9 months old when she was weaned because she was just too interested in everything else to stay still long enough to nurse. So alas Charlie at 7 months is weaned and is now a bottle baby.

Thumb Sucker
Tony and I both sucked our thumbs until we were 8 years old so we were not going to allow any of our children to be thumb suckers. Well, Charlie has taught us that things don't always go the way you want, plan, or the way it was before. Charlie is his own kid. He uses binki's to chew on and sucks his thumb regardless of all efforts on our part to thwart him. What worked with Carson and Alaina or what they liked as babies does not work with Charlie or he doesn't like. It's almost like being a new parent all over again! But we still love him!
Pickle
The last few days have been difficult with Charlie so say the least. Cranky baby with a fever, snot, slobber etc. I even took him to the doctor on Friday to check for an ear infection. No infection which is good, so Charlie's been either teething or is sick or both. Yesterday, while I was getting myself some lunch I gave Charlie a pickle to chew on. I was hoping to passify him for a least a few minutes so I could eat. Honestly, I wasn't expecting him to enjoy the pickle nearly as much as he did. He love it!
Hey Cuz!
Charlie and his cousin Mac are the best of buds! They get so excited when they see each other. So cute!
