Well, I guess we are officially Rexburgians. Today I registered the Truck and had to get new plates sporting the 1M for Madison county. In March I had to get a new driver's licence with our Rexburg address. But in all actuality we've been here for a year and a half already so why not call ourselves Rexburgians, at least for awhile.

Charlie's Spot
Charlie has found a spot he likes to call his own. Granted it's a cupboard, but he loves to just sit and watch the going on of the kitchen, swing his legs, and talk to whoever will listen.
Charlie is pretty much past the baby food stage now and the last week or so he's been eating what we're eating, for the most part. Today for lunch Alaina shared her roman noodles. He seemed content with them. But as always when he's done eating the remainder of the food ends up on the floor. Sigh.
Alaina's Room
With Carson going back to school I knew it was time to start my deep clean of the house. Yesterday Alaina and I (mostly me) cleaned her room and rearranged it. I didn't pull out the broom to get everything out from under her bed like my mom used to do with me, but I might as well have. This is a picture of everything from under her bed, out of her closet and out of her toy box. I couldn't believe how much garbage there was! It seemed like everything was in a place it didn't belong. Puzzle pieces not in the bag, dolls not in the case, dress ups not together etc. I got together all the toys she doesn't play with anymore to give to DI, mostly happy meal type toys. It took us about and hour and a half to get it all done and it looks much better now. I'm hoping the boys room won't be so bad.

School Days
Today was the first day of 2nd grade for Carson. You could say he was a bit excited for school to start. He says it's to get away from his sister, but I'm sure that there are more reasons than just that. He was up and dressed by the time I came out of my room. He opted to eat at school, I think so he could get there a few minutes earlier. I wanted to drop him off at his classroom, but he assured me that he knew where it was and was off on his merry way. I can say that no tears were shed (except this morning when I put my contacts in-I cut up jalapenos yesterday for salsa) and we are all ready for school to start. I have great plans of getting so much more done around the house now that Carson is in school, I guess we'll see if that really happens. Alaina is looking forward to lazy days at home with mom and Charlie without the distraction and fighting that ensues with a big brother around. For Charlie not much will change...he'll go about as he usually does.
Carson ready to go, it's a good thing that school started 30 minutes earlier this year or else we would have been waiting around for awhile.
I'm trying to get Alaina into the Head Start Preschool program here. I'm still waiting to hear back if she's been accepted or not. The school is just down the street and would be great for her. Alaina misses the cutoff to start kindergarten by 18 days and won't start until next year. She so much wants and needs more educational stimulation, so anyway we're really hoping she get in.

Family Pictures Cont.
How could I forget to post a picture of where it all began? I promise this is the last time you'll hear me brag, but we look pretty darn good!
Family Pictures 2012
A year after Charlie was born we've finally managed to get family pictures done. We went up to the gardens on the University campus with Nathan and Maegen to get them done. I have such a hard time paying the prices these "professionals" want. At any rate I think that our "amateur" pictures turned out pretty darn good! I can hardly wait to get them touched up, printed, and up on my wall!
The kiddos. When you have a one year old getting a picture of them even looking at the camera is good.
The family. What a great looking bunch. Yesterday it was pretty overcast and the smoke from the wildfires made for really good lighting.
Charlie-man.
Carson and Alaina. I love this picture! As you can tell these pictures still need to be touched up and cropped, notice the lovely toe at the bottom of the picture.
Alaina in all her cuteness
Every time I see this picture it just makes me laugh! When Charlie was an infant he always had a perma-scowl. Now his expressions are varied and many. What a funny kid.
What a handsome boy Carson is turning out to be. I can hardly believe that in a few short months he'll be 8! Where has the time gone?
I think I can say that I have a beautiful family and I love them so much. I will definitely cherish these photos for years to come.

One man's trash is another man's treasure
On Saturday we took the Truck into the car wash. After the wash we pulled up to the vacuums to clean up the inside. I took a load of trash from the truck to the garbage can and look what I found. A perfectly fine Bumbo seat. It was a little dirty, but other than that it was fine! I couldn't believe that someone would throw this away. These things are at least $35 brand new! Well, as I said before one man's trash is another man's treasure.
Bugs
This year we have these weird red bugs all over the place! They're even starting to come into the house. I was just wondering if anyone knows what they are and what it'll take to get rid of them.

Elton Reunion at Bear Lake
This last weekend we had the Elton Family Reunion at Bear Lake. It was a fun and exhausting weekend! On Friday we went to Minatonka Cave. It had been awhile since I'd seen a cave. It was really cool except I was pretty out of shape for the 800+ stairs while carrying a 22 lb baby, and said baby cried almost the entire time.
Alaina and cousin Aaron.
Me and Charlie
"Stairway to Heaven" was what this passage was called.
Daddy and Charlie hanging out at North Shore Bear Lake.
My niece Raelyn
and her big sister Lilyan.
Hannah's husband Tyler as a mermaid.
Alaina making a sandcastle.
The Sharps.
The boys chillin on the water trampoline
my niece Emory.
My brother-in-law borrowed a water trampoline to use for the weekend. We weren't able to use it as intended, but it was still fun.

Carson
Aaron, don't ask me what he's doing.
Alaina and BreAnna, best buds.
Charlie playing in the water.
Our family.
Everyone except Tony (he's taking the picture) and Hannah and Tyler. They had to leave early. Something about moving to Iowa for law school or some such thing. ;)
More Baby Things
This last weekend my sister's and I threw a baby shower for our baby sister Hannah who is due in November with a baby boy! I begged for some material from my sister-in-law Maegen so I could make a car seat cover for Hannah. This is the end result. I think it turned out super cute!

Pictures
This last weekend I took Tony's sister Rachel's senior pictures. I think we got some really cute ones. Here are a few.
I also took some family pictures for Tony's brother and his family.
