The Hog

Yes, it's true...Tony bought a motorcycle. I have to admit it's pretty cool. Though I'm the only one who hasn't had a ride yet. It's an 82 Honda CX500. He only paid $850 for it and it's in pretty good shape. He's planning on giving it a new paint job and some minor updates and repairs here and there. All I know is that Tony was excited enough about it that he called me at work to tell me about it the night he bought it. Oh well...men and their toys, right?

Making Doughnuts

Last week for preschool we visited Crispy Cream and learned how to make doughnuts. Ever since Carson's been bugging me to make doughnuts. He was a little disappointed that he didn't get to make any doughnuts at Crispy Cream. So I finally gave in and I have to admit...they turned out pretty good, not as good as Crispy Cream, but still pretty good.

What an Art

I don't know about you, but I'm not sure I could sleep on the very edge of the bed and not fall off. Apparently Alaina can.

Alaina's Place

Ever since Alaina could walk she's enjoyed sitting in this little place in the kitchen. If you can't tell by the picture it's in the "Lazy Susan". She hasn't sat there much lately...I guess she's just getting too big. But it's still cute.

Birthdays

So coming up in a week or so are our Birthdays. For those of you that don't know Tony's birthday is the day before mine. So, he has never forgotten my birthday and I'm sure never will. His birthday is on the 30th and mine is on the 31st. Tony will be turning the dreaded 30! I will be turning 27. It's amazing how quickly the time flies once you hit 18. When you're a child you count the months, days, hours, and seconds until your next birthday. Especially the big ones. 8 because you get baptised. 12 because you are no longer in primary. 16 because now you can date! 18 because now you are an "adult". 21 because now you are a "real adult". But since I've past all these milestones in my life the years seem to slip by. Most of the time when I'm asked how old I am I have to really think hard and sometimes do the math in my head to make sure that I really am 26 or 27 or whatever. Is that silly? I guess now that real life has settled in, it really doesn't matter how old I am. Of course I may be singing a different tune when I turn 30, or 40, or 50.

SOLD!

The car is sold! Hooray!

Sale Pending

Well, we've found a buyer for our car. It's a young girl and her dad. It's going to be her first car. All I have to say is it's a lot newer and nicer than my first car was. Anyway they test drove it last night and are coming tonight with a check. The last 3 months have been a struggle, but it is soon at an end. The car is fixed and out of our hair...almost. We have a new bigger family car. New tires for the Camaro will be ready soon, and with the sale of the car Tony will be able to buy a motorcycle to commute with. I look over the last few months of Tony working on the car almost every night after work and almost every weekend. What a lot of work he put into it, and now it's paid off. We've definitely learned our lesson the hard way to take care of our vehicles.

Car for Sale

We'll I'm glad to report that the Toyota is working and runs great! It's been a great car! We've really loved it but have decided to sell it and buy a motorcycle for Tony to commute with (he'll drive his Camaro in the winter). It has 125,000 miles on it and some slight body damage. It gets great gas mileage. We're asking $2,799 OBO. The Kelly Blue Book on this Vehicle is $3,100. Let us know if you or someone you know would be interested. I'll add photo's later..."blogger" is being stupid.

Our "New" Truck

So on Saturday we traded in our beloved Nissan Frontier for a newer bigger model, a 2006 Nissan Titan crew cab! We loved our Frontier, but it was just getting too small for our growing family. So with the trade and a nice down payment we were able to get an affordable monthly payment. Of course we plan to pay it off before the life of the loan is up. We are loving our new truck. It was actually kinda hard to find a Titan with the options we needed within our price range. We found this truck after it had only been on the lot for 3 hours! We were the first and only ones to test drive it. It has lots of fun extras too! It's been almost 4 years since the last time we got a new vehicle, so we're pretty excited to be able to get something so nice! We are truly blessed!
