Another Niece

So my sister-in-law and brother had their baby girl early Tuesday morning! I'm so excited to see my two new nieces and new nephew next week!

Singing

This week Carson is in Boise with the Fosters, so it's just been Alaina and I for the most part. It has been bitter sweet having him gone. I miss him a ton, but am enjoying how quiet it is without any fighting and crying. One thing I've discovered is how much Alaina sings and talks to herself while playing. Alaina has always been able to entertain herself pretty well, but I never realized before how much she sings while she plays. Most of the time I only catch about half of what she's singing about and a lot of the time I don't recognize the tune. But it is sure cute! I'm going to have to try and catch it on video one of these times. Who knows, we may have a future accomplished singer on our hands.

Another Tooth Gone

Well, Carson lost tooth number 3 a few days ago. I had been after him for awhile to get that loose tooth out of there. Finally, I asked to see it and popped it out before he had a chance to cry and whine about how it hurt. Immediately Carson put the tooth under his pillow, but The Tooth Fairy forgot to come. The next morning mommy made a call to her, because all parents have The Tooth Fairy and Santa on speed dial, and asked her to make a special trip. She not only made a special trip, but left him a whole dollar a note explaining that she just got behind from all the little boys and girls who have lost their teeth and she would try to be better next time. All I know is that The Tooth Fairy better be more prompt when these kiddos loose their teeth, because I don't know how much longer mommy will be able to cover for her and they'll believe it.

Spray Park

Here in Rexburg at Porter Park there is a community water park. For those Meridianites, it's like the one at Settler's Park. The kids are absolutely in love with it and ask almost everyday if we can go to "Spray Park", whether the weather is good or not. Yesterday I finally gave in. Even though it wasn't that warm out and the wind was blowing the kids had a good time. There is also a Carousel at Porter Park which the kids rode. We also got the kids some cotton candy to share. After we bought the candy we realized this was the first time our kids had had cotton candy...what horrible parents we are! My kids are 6 and 3 and they've never had cotton candy before! Well, we fixed that.

32 weeks

Well I can't get Blogger to let me upload the latest photo...but I've reached 32 weeks which means only 8 weeks left to go! We're getting closer.

Dress for Hannah's Wedding

So I cut out the material for this dress a few weeks ago, began sewing it yesterday, and finished it this morning. It's way cuter than the pictures show. But I do have to say that with each sewing project I take on the more please I am with them. I don't claim to be a great seamstress or anything, but I am getting better and think this one turned out pretty good.

This picture is to put my sister and mom's mind's at ease that the color is indeed correct. All the pictures I take make the dress look pink when it is in fact a coral color.
The finished product, hemmed and everything. Now on to my niece BreAnna's dress, which will be identical to this one. Just smaller because she's such a petite little thing.

Nieces and Nephews

Within the last couple week we've had a niece born to my Brother Brian and his wife Collette and a nephew born to Tony's Brother Nathan and his wife Maegen. Hopefully soon we'll have another little niece born to my Brother Tim and his wife Callie. I'm so excited for all the new babies and their parents, just wish I could be there. The great thing is that with all the new babies it means our baby is getting that much closer to being ready to make his appearance. Then in October Tony's Brother Thomas and his wife will welcome their little one. After that who knows what little spirits will join our families.
