One man's trash is another man's treasure

On Saturday we took the Truck into the car wash.  After the wash we pulled up to the vacuums to clean up the inside.  I took a load of trash from the truck to the garbage can and look what I found.  A perfectly fine Bumbo seat.  It was a little dirty, but other than that it was fine!  I couldn't believe that someone would throw this away.  These things are at least $35 brand new!  Well, as I said before one man's trash is another man's treasure.  

Bugs

This year we have these weird red bugs all over the place!  They're even starting to come into the house.  I was just wondering if anyone knows what they are and what it'll take to get rid of them.  

Elton Reunion at Bear Lake

This last weekend we had the Elton Family Reunion at Bear Lake.  It was a fun and exhausting weekend!  On Friday we went to Minatonka Cave.  It had been awhile since I'd seen a cave.  It was really cool except I was pretty out of shape for the 800+ stairs while carrying a 22 lb baby, and said baby cried almost the entire time.

 My brother-in-law borrowed a water trampoline to use for the weekend.  We weren't able to use it as intended, but it was still fun.

More Baby Things

This last weekend my sister's and I threw a baby shower for our baby sister Hannah who is due in November with a baby boy!  I begged for some material from my sister-in-law Maegen so I could make a car seat cover for Hannah.  This is the end result.  I think it turned out super cute!

Charlie Turns 1

Charlie's first birthday happened to be during the Foster Reunion so we went ahead and celebrated.

Charlie also got a cookie monster from us.  He got a motorcycle to ride and cloths for G. Foster.  He got a train set from G. Elton.  He made out pretty good.

He's 22 lbs 3 oz.  30 inches tall.  He's not walking or standing on his own yet, but he still gets around pretty good.  A lesson we keep learning over and over is that Charlie is his own man and does things his own way. He'll walk when he wants to, we'll just have to be patient.  

Sweet Baby Things

Last weekend at the Foster Family Reunion the girls threw a Baby Shower for my sister-in-law Karen who is due in about 5 weeks.  I made this cute little outfit for our new little niece Lucy.  The only thing I bought was the onesie and the ribbon which was about $2.  I didn't use a pattern for the skirt so I really hope it fits her at the same time the onesie does.  Anyway I'm quite proud of the way it turned out.  I think it's way cute!
