Sidewalk Chalk

Yesterday I let the kids draw on our porch. It was nice out and they needed the fresh air. I really didn't think that they would get so dirty so fast. But the proved me wrong. Carson and I did practice writing letters and numbers though, and he did really well! As you can see Carson got his cast off on Monday. He still doesn't like to walk on it all that much, but healing a broken bone is a long process. I definitely don't recommend it to anyone!

Flowers

Here are the beatiful roses Tony got for me and Alaina for Valentine's Day. The yellow roses are Alaina's and the red ones are mine. I just thought it was so thoughtful that Tony would get roses for both his girls!

Carson's Cast

Here are some pictures of Carson's cast. Signatures, pictures and all.

Carson Update

On Monday Carson had a doctor's appointment. The doc said that in two weeks Carson will get his cast off! I'll be so glad when he is able to get around on his own again. I've definitely learned my lesson about jumping on the trampoline. Mommies need to be careful when jumping with their kids.

Broken

Here are some pictures of Carson. He spends his days now watching movies and playing video or computer games. This is a picture of his splint. Today he got his hard cast on which he'll wear for the next 4 weeks. He picked bright green for his cast, so you'll definitely be able to see him from a mile away!

Climber

Well, Alaina has figured out how to get what she wants. On Sunday I made some cookies and I was letting them cool on the counter. Alaina (remember she is only 16 months old) pushed one of the kitchen chairs over to the counter, climbed up on the chair and got to the cookies. I really couldn't be mad at her because I was pretty impressed that she figured out how to do it all on her own. Yesterday she pushed the chair over to the fridge so she could look at or more like play with the pictures.

A Big Ouchie!

Unfortunately Carson got a broken leg today. He and I were jumping on the trampoline, yes in January. Hey, it was a nice day and we needed to get out for a little while. Anyway I jumped too high and he caught the whole bounce on his right leg. It fractured right below his knee. We took him first to a minor emergency where we found out that it was broken. They sent us to the emergency room to decide whether he needed surgery or not. Thankfully the break did not go into the growth plate like originally thought, so no surgery. So he'll be in a splint for the next 3 or 4 days and then have a cast for the next 4-6 weeks. Hopefully we'll both start feeling better soon. My sorrow and his pain. Poor little guy.
